# Install Process

*   Install Universal Androot 
*   Mount and copy to SD Card 
    *   Blade Recovery Manager 0.26b 
    *   recovery-clockwork-blade-2.5.1.8.img 
    *   ROM update 
*   Unmount 
*   Install Blade Recovery Manager 
*   Run Blade Recovery Manager and install recovery image (2.5.1.8) 
*   Reboot into recovery 
    *   Wipe data / factory reset 
    *   Install ROM

*   TextSecure failed to send SMSs, uninstalled

## Upgrade Process

*   Update/Install Clockwork ROM Manager 
*   Using ROM manager: 
    *   Install latest Clockwork Recovery 
    *   Download Cyanogen 7.1.0 ROM [cm7.1-blade-gen1-to-gen2-tpt.zip][21] - (md5:e3ea353eea248ee1174d0f6b4cf735e8) 
*   Unzip ROM to sdcard root (creates /image) 
*   Reboot into TPT 
*   Power off, wait a few seconds, then power on with menu & vol+ held. "It should take a few seconds to flash the new Gen2 firmware (you should see some green text), then it should reboot into ClockworkMod recovery, use that to wipe data & then install your Gen2 rom." 
*   Remove the image directory from the sd card

Once installed, vol+ & power boots into TPT if there is an image directory.

*   All SMS messages lost 
*   Wifi broken 
*   Lock screen broken (can't unlock!)
